Nanostation, la CPE Wireless secondo Ubiquiti | Esperto Informatico specializzato in Mikrotik RouterOS e Routerboard

Da Ubiquiti, famosa casa americana in quanto a prodotti informatici per il Wireless, voglio presentarvi uno degli ultimi prodotti di punta: NANOSTATION.

Presente in versione da 5Ghz e da 2,4Ghz, viene usata soprattutto dai WISP (Wireless Internet Services Provider) per far connettere i loro clienti alle loro infrastrutture. La loro facilità di maneggio, semplicità di configurazione e non per ultimo, il suo prezzo irrisorio la rendono ad oggi tra le migliori CPE attualmente in commercio.

L'aspetto si presenta gradevole e poco ingombrante. Nella versione standard viene venduta in un comoda scatoletta con Alimentatore da corrente (12v 1A), PoE e kit di montaggio (fascette di plastica).

Molto comode i led presenti sul retro dell'apparato (visibili in foto in alto a destra) in cui rispettivamente si hanno:

Led 1 = Power (Dispositivo accesso)
Led 2 = Lan (Se l'apparato è connesso in LAN)
Led 3, 4, 5 e 6 = Potenza segnale Wireless (soglie impostabili via Web)

In particolare quest'ultime, sono molto molto comodo per un primo puntamento ad occhio.

L'alimentazione è in PoE a 12V 1A, (piedinatura PoE 4-5, 7-8)

Sul fondo dell'apparato è presente un connetere SMA a polarità inversa (RP) per la possibilità di installare un antenna esterna

La potenza di uscita, è udite udite, di 400mW! (ovviamente non utilizzabile dalla legislazione Italiana, infatti hanno l'autoadjustment in base al paese in cui si setta)

Con piacere, posso dirvi che è SDK, quindi a sviluppo libero a tutti.
La facilità di configurazione è quasi disarmante, e per chi volesse cambiare, può benissimo utilizzare WRT.
